Allotment harvest

Elder son had the day off today, & we went to the allotment so he could strim the grass.
The tomatoes are coming on well, so hopefully we'll have enough to make lots of tomato sauce for the winter.

In the month since Elder Son has been back at work, I've struggled to find the energy to do much at the allotment. And we'd had rain making the grass grow so it needed strimming, & I'm very nervous of the idea of using the strimmer so don't use it myself.

After he'd done the strimming, he dug up the early potatoes, pulled up the garlic, cut a big courgette, and gathered some marjoram...
oh, and pulled a cabbage.

I'd pulled up the red onions last time I was there so dinner was all from the allotment...
Apart from the sosmix rissoles...

And Younger Son ate his cabbage!
